Thank you guys

Dear Seb

There are some many things that I’ve always wanted to say to you, but I never found a good opportunity. Last Friday, when I had the honor to be picked out by you during the Follow Friday, I saw that it would be my biggest shot.

This letter is about how Simple Plan helped me holding on. I guess you guys should know how your music helps and inspires a lot of people around the world, including me. So, I’m gonna tell you my story.

Because of my dad’s job, I have to be always moving around. I live in a different city for about 2 years, then I move again. It wasn’t such a big deal for me in the past, ‘cause I was too young. But now it is. It’s extremely hard to say goodbye to all your friends, the people you love and restart a new life in some place totally different. This year was one of those years full of changes. I had to move and it hurt me a lot, it’s been very tough . I got deeply depressed and life started not to make sense anymore. One of the things that kept me holding on this whole time was Simple Plan.

You guys have no idea of how much power you got over your fans. It’s magical. Everytime I was down, I listened to one of your songs or watched some of your vlogs and they cheered me up. Twitter helped me feel closer to you guys, and it was so great.

Now, I’m not totally healed, but I’m way better and I felt like I had to thank you. Thank you so much, Seb and thank Pierre, Chuck, Jeff and David for me, please. You guys can’t imagine how much support you’ve given me.

So, I think that’s it. I could write a lot more, but I don’t want you to waste more time with me.

Oh, I almost forgot. Thank you one more time for picking me this week, you have no idea how glad I got. And I’ll pay my promise, of course I will. The next time you come to Brazil, I’ll make you the best caipirinha EVER! You’ll love it.

My darling Chuck,

There are so many things that I’ve always wanted to say to you that I don’t know even how to start this letter. First of all, let me wish you happy birthday. That’s the reason for all of this. Today’s such a special day! I wish I could give a strong hug right now. I can’t give you a birthday gift, so that’s why I’m writing to you, my words and my feelings are all I have to give. But that’s what really matters, hum? A word from the bottom of the heart worths a lot more than any material object.

So, you’re 31 right now. Haha, you’re getting old, man. But who’s that 31 year-old man named Chuck Comeau? What has done along those years? Has de made any difference in the world? Has he made something special? Has he made someone special? I’ll tell you who Chuck Comeau is. He’s simply the most wonderful guy that this world has ever seen. The sweetest, the greatest, the most talented, the most human. He’s got the four best friends and is part of the best band in the world. Simple Plan. He’s the best drummer ever. His music has inspired and helped millions of people around the planet. He’s the best idol that a person can have. He cares about his fans, he gives them attention, he makes them feel special and unique. He’s one in a million. And most important, he’s an incredible human being. He’s a hero. You’re a hero.

I’m so proud of you, Chuck and you just make me feel prouder and prouder time after time.

I want you to have the most amazing birthday, among your beloved ones. I want you to have fun. I want all your dreams to come true. I want you to be happy. Happy. Your happiness is what really matters to me.
